A few months ago, I picked up a Smashbox Eyelights Eyeshadow in Beam. I was looking for a pretty bronze and I was also intrigued by the pinks shade in this collection. Little did i know that this would quickly become one of my favorite eye shadow palettes of all time. I havdn’t paid any attention at all to the “eyelight” name – but that is just what these shadows do.
I had put them on & liked them, but was suprised later told me that my eye makeup was the “best ever” and she has seen a lot of different products on me.
I started using it more and paying attention and I really have no explanation except these shadows do, for the first time in any product I have found, give you that (used to death phrase) “lit from within look”. They really do. You don’t even notice the shadows – they just some how impart a gorgeous glow about your eyes.
The Beam trio includes the shades luminous gold, copper, and bronze.
In addition to Beam, there are three other trios:
Strobe – shimmering pearl, ocean blue, and golden brown
Flash – peachy pink, shimmering burgundy, and mossy green
Smokebox – intense black, soft pewter, warm beige

I am surprised, amazed, disappointed that this line of shadows seems to be disappearing from the market – maybe they were a limited edition. I will be looking for something comprable – but I doubt I can find it, because these are like magic, somehow.
